One of the most original writers to ever put pen to paper was a man named Samuel Clemens. You may know him by another name however. He was a writer of not only some great American novels, but some cutting political satire as well. His writings were under the name of Mark Twain.
Today’s Family First Site is a visit to an online exhibit celebrating his works of over 50 years. From a Mississippi River pilot, to gold miner in the rip roaring town of Virginia City, Nevada, to a newspaper writer to novelist, his story is one that is worth retelling again and again. At this site you catch the flavor of his life, from an 1850’s daguerreotype to hand written letters stretching from Hawaii and Holy Land. There are pictures of him as well, taken during his various travels.
